Our tours are created keeping your needs in mind. So, whether you are a vegetarian, vegan or someone with celiac disease, we will do our best to ensure you don’t go hungry. However, if you have any special dietary needs or food allergies, please let us know when you book your trip, so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Our cooking classes and demonstrations are designed to be enjoyed by everyone, so you don’t need to know any cooking! Whether you’re a novice in the kitchen, or someone who can cook blindfolded, all we ask is that you bring an immense love of food to the table.
All of them, eventually! However, if you are looking for something specific, these are the types of tours we offer in our various destinations:
1. Cook Like a Local puts the spotlight on cooking-focused experiences. Among other activities, you will head to a local market to understand and pick out ingredients; you will learn from chefs how to cook a traditional regional meal; and try your hand at making cocktails using indigenous ingredients and/or spirits.
2. Forgotten Worlds aims to give you a peek into the past. Try out rare recipes that are hard to come by at restaurants; go on a heritage trail and binge on old-school snacks, and witness performances of dying arts.
3. Eat Retreat is for those who want to see the quiet side of a destination. This means avoiding the touristy spots and, very often, venturing into the hinterland. Here, guests will learn organic farming, dig into meals cooked by tribal communities, and indulge in yoga and Ayurveda sessions.
4. Feast On, meanwhile, is a master tour that will feature elements from the other three tours, in addition to other activities, including sightseeing. This tour is for the traveller who doesn’t want to miss out on any of the destination’s diverse offerings, culinary or otherwise.
Although we specialise in creating culinary tours, we also believe that cuisine is strongly tied to the history and culture of a place. So, while we do have you participate in cooking classes, food walks and restaurant visits, we also take you on guided tours of must-see monuments and heritage neighbourhoods. In addition to this, we make sure you get a comprehensive understanding of a region through its culture.
Yes, some experiences -- such as the rooftop sundowner in Agra and the feni cocktail-making workshop in Goa -- do include alcohol. However, if you prefer, non-alcoholic drinks can be provided if specified at the time of booking.
